Coeur De Pirate – Comme Des Enfants (Counterfeit Remix)

I can assure you, Counterfeit is someone you have never heard of. That’s because this is his first release! And let me tell you, everyone will recognize his name quickly.

The fact that he’s chosen this delightful French pop song to remix shows his adept level of imagination and musical creativity already. One aspect that really stood out to me that won’t be noticed by many is his use of chants. There is a lot of producers that rely on “AY” or “WHAT” chants to progress the track to the next scenes, but Counterfeit (specifically at 1:14) fades it out and let’s the music do the talking. I find the chants to be something that often takes away from production value. His use however, is far more creative.
